Mashatu Opens Its Full Camp Collection to Every Safari Traveller

As the last weeks of the southern African winter draw in, Mashatu Game Reserve is encouraging travellers to set aside any single notion of what a safari should be and pick the version that fits them best. Spread across 42,000 hectares of privately owned wilderness in Botswana’s Northern Tuli, the reserve is now bringing its complete line-up of seven camps and three signature experience streams together as a single, connected offering, giving families, couples, adventurers and rest-seekers a place of their own within the very same landscape.

There is a reason August feels like the right time to plan. With the dry season having pared the bush back to open sightlines, the reserve is edging towards the warmth of spring and the first rains that begin to wake the plains. Because this is when many travellers start sketching out the months ahead, Mashatu has seized on the seasonal shift to highlight just how much variety a stay in the Northern Tuli can hold. A Botswana safari here isn’t a set itinerary but a decision — between distinct camps, each with a character of its own, and between ways of meeting the wild that stretch from indulgent to active to restorative.
