The songs that shaped country music as we know it today. Country music isn’t just something we listen to… it’s something we grow up with.

Featuring Gerrit de Jager and Chantelle Bosch, Country Through the Ages is a heartfelt tribute to the timeless songs and legendary artists that laid the foundation of country music.

Between them, Gerrit de Jager and Chantelle Bosch have earned a combined 12 SACMAF (South African Country Music Association Foundation) national awards, reflecting their passion and contribution to the genre. Gerrit was also honoured as Country Artist of the Year and Newcomer of the Year nationally in the past year.

This show takes audiences on a journey back to where it all began — celebrating iconic voices like Jim Reeves, Johnny Cash, Charlie Pride, Slim Whitman, and Kenny Rogers, to name a few — whose music helped define an era.

Building on that legacy, the journey continues through the unmistakable sounds of Randy Travis, Alan Jackson, Josh Turner, and many more — artists who carried the spirit of traditional country into a new generation while staying true to its roots.

Adding depth and emotion, Chantelle Bosch brings the powerful voices of country’s leading ladies to life — honouring legends such as Patsy Cline, Lynn Anderson, Billie Jo Spears, Dolly Parton, and more — whose songs helped shape the heart of the genre.

While rooted in the classics, the show also weaves in touches of modern country, highlighting how these timeless sounds continue to influence today’s music.

With rich storytelling, unforgettable melodies, and a warm, authentic energy, Country Through the Ages is more than just a performance…

It’s a journey through the songs that shaped country music — and the memories that came with them.

Come and relive the songs you love… and fall in love with them all over again.
