Temba Ncetani will perform with students, friends and former classmates from his alma mater, Khanyisa High School, in a celebratory concert honouring his nomination in the 32nd SAMAs Awards.

Acclaimed South African Jazz musician, Temba Ncetani, takes to the stage in a special concert featuring performances alongside his former students. The event serves as both a celebration of artistic mentorship and a showcase of the next generation of talent cultivated under his guidance.

Mr Ncetani will be performing music from his SAMAs nominated debut album “Intlungu. Intlupheko. Imbilini”. These include songs such as “eMthatha (My Hometown)”, “NomaIndia” and “Summer Child” – compositions dedicated to his late parents, Rev. RM Ncetani and
Mrs NM Ncetani. The performance will also feature “Avenue A”, a tribute to his jazz mentor Dudley “Bra Dates” Tito of The Soul Jazzmen.

This concert will also feature a special guest, Liyema Liwani, whom he tutored in piano from Grade 8 through his music school, Village Vanguard Music Academy. Liyema is now based in Gqeberha and is currently in Grade 11 at Woodridge High School.

Mr Ncetani is so excited to grace the stage at the Nelson Mandela University South Campus Auditorium, a venue that holds many cherished memories from his university days, during which he studied under the guidance of Mr John Edwards, and participated in the
Jazz Ensemble, the Big Band, and Jazz Scholarship competitions.

Do not miss out on this wonderful concert experience!
